MLD Vodder Therapy 2 & 3 Review Courses 2019

The cost of each 2 day course is £285 with a £10 discount if you bring your own couch. A non-refundable deposit of £50 is payable on booking to secure your place. The balance of £235 (or £225 if you are bringing your own couch) is payable after July 1st 2019. After the 1st July 2019 please book by sending the full amount of £285. Spaces are limited to 28 on each course.

In order to enrol on this course it is essential that you have completed Therapy 2 & 3. Please submit a copy of your certificate with your deposit, unless you have previously done so, in which case there is no need to send me another copy.

Course venue

The Makeney Hall, Belper, Derbyshire, DE56 0RS. Telephone number 01332 842999. This venue is a four star country house hotel situated in a lovely rural setting with ample parking and rooms with ensuite bathrooms.

Makeney Hall is situated just off the A6 between Duffield and Belper. Please see their website for driving instructions.

East Midlands Airport is a 30 minute drive from the hotel. A shuttle bus (Skylink) operates regularly between the airport and Derby.

Duffield railway station is situated just 1.8 miles from the hotel and is a short taxi ride away.  There are connections every hour from Derby. Accommodation

A limited number of rooms are available at The Makeney Hall Hotel.   Please contact the hotel to book directly (see above for contact details). Cheaper deals may be found online, but there is a saving to be made for advanced booking. Bring your walking boots or running shoes as there are extensive grounds to explore! Please book your room early at the Makeney to avoid disappointment.

There are several restaurants and cafes in the village of Duffield, 1.8 miles from the venue, with 2 pubs located within walking distance, and an Italian Restaurant called Angelo’s 0.7 miles away from the Makeney Hall Hotel. The lunch break is only 1 hour, and the Makeney Hall Hotel are pleased to offer light lunches (soup or jacket potato or selection of sandwiches), payable and ordered through the hotel before 10.30 am on the day. If you don’t pre-order, you may not get your lunch in time as the hotel is very busy, especially at weekends. It is your responsibility to order and pay for your own lunch.

Course Times

The review class will start at 08.45 am and finish at approximately at 5pm with a break for lunch and tea/coffee.  Registration is between 8am and 8.40 am on the first day of the course. If you need to leave early on the last day to catch a train, please let Hildegard know.

What to bring with you

Please bring with you all the usual bandages, foam, your own towels (preferably 2 large and 1 or 2 small towels) along with notebook and pens. If you are providing  your own couch, please ensure it has a towelling couch cover and that you label your couch with your name. If you don’t have sufficient bandages or foam, don’t worry, you will be working in pairs and you can share bandages. Hildegard has foam to lend delegates.
